Terms of Service

Last updated 15 August 2026

The service

JewelLedger is a jewelry record book. The website and the Android app are the same application. Free accounts may create one vault and up to 30 items. Lifetime Pro removes those caps. Valuations are estimates, not appraisals or insurance advice.

Your data lives on the device

Collection content is stored in the browser on that device. We are not a cloud backup of your jewelry inventory unless you create an encrypted backup yourself. You are responsible for exporting or backing up before you wipe a phone or clear site data.

Backup passphrase

The backup passphrase never leaves your device and cannot be reset by us. If you forget it, existing encrypted backups cannot be opened. Set a passphrase you can keep, and store a copy of exports somewhere you control.

Payments

Website purchases of Lifetime Pro are processed by Razorpay and are one-time. In the Play Store Android app, Google Play Billing processes the same one-time Lifetime Pro unlock. Pro status applies to your account on both the website and Android. Refunds for Play purchases follow Google Play policy. Refunds for website purchases follow Razorpay.

Acceptable use

Do not abuse the service, attempt to access another user's account, or use JewelLedger to store data you do not have the right to keep. We may suspend accounts that threaten the service or other users.

Liability

The service is provided as-is. We are not liable for lost collection data, device failure, forgotten PINs or passphrases, or third-party outages (Clerk, hosting, Dropbox, payment processors, price feeds). Our aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid us for Pro, if any.

Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use after a posted change means you accept the new terms. The Privacy Policy is part of this agreement.
